Recruitment and staff development is paramount at each Caring Kindergartens settings. We take pride in the staff that we employ and allow them to develop through their careers with us.
Through our safer recruitment procedure and tailored interview techniques, we continue to employ highly qualified, dedicated staff that are invested in providing excellent childcare that is not only considerate to individual children’s wellbeing but also in a partnership with the parents and their needs.
We are proud of our recruitment and development methods; these include all staff undergoing an enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service), staff inductions at our training centre and continuous support from their in-house mentors. We recognise the need for staff to feel secure, confident and familiar with our tailored policies and procedures that we have successfully developed over the years.
Staff are recognised and rewarded for their hard work, positive attitude and dedication. Through regular staff incentives, Caring Kindergartens recognises strengths within our staff, invest in their self-development and help them to progress and achieve a higher level of childcare qualification. We have a very high level of loyal and long standing employees and this has enabled Caring Kindergartens to exceed the standards of staffing as set within the Early Years Framework. For example a considerable amount of staff have a higher level of childcare qualification, over 70% of staff are qualified paediatric first aid trained and all staff have a Food Hygiene certificate. We also have an online training programme that supports staff with their knowledge and understanding of childcare and its contributing aspects including legislation, child protection and special needs as it continues to update on a regular basis.
It is through these rigorous methods that Caring Kindergartens continue to excel. Other industry bodies are also wishing to adopt our standards so they too can successfully engage in the Early Years Foundation stage by ensuring they maintain a dedicated team.
